Kara Harris is a North Shore based artist, graphic designer and mom to Anna and James. This space is an online home for her artwork + designs. You can also find select pieces of her work at Beach Street Studios + Gallery in Manchester by the Sea, MA.

A graduate of Boston College, Kara also studied at Oxford University in England and traveled around Europe deepening her interest in art. Kara worked in Communications for 10 years and in 2012 graduated from the New England School of Art + Design. This background in graphic design is the inspiration and influence behind her abstract paintings.

More recently her work highlights landscapes and architecture on the beautiful Cape Ann and Cape Cod (the “other Cape”) where she vacationed in the summers as a child. In addition to her own work, Kara helps teach art to children at Artcie in Hamilton.

As a mother and certified yoga teacher, Kara reminds herself of the importance of slowing down, embracing creativity, and playfulness over perfection. Painting gives her the space to do just that.
