Kara created this space as an online home to share and sell her art & designs. Her subject is C O L O R.

She graduated from Boston College in 1999, studied at Oxford University in England in 1998, traveled around Europe with an interest in art, worked in Communications for 10 years, and in 2012 graduated from the New England School of Art & Design. Her graphic design background has influenced her abstract paintings. More recently her paintings are of places on the beautiful Cape Ann and the “other Cape” (Cape Cod) where she grew up vacationing in the summer. She currently paints at an art studio & gallery in Manchester, MA and helps teach kids art part-time at an art studio in Hamilton, MA.

As a mom, and also a 200 hour Registered Yoga teacher, she reminds herself the importance of slowing down, pausing, and progress over perfection. Painting gives her the space to do just that.
